TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Renter’s Responsibilities

• The renter shall provide all required documents at the time of rental. Failure to comply may result in the forfeiture of the reservation.
• The renter is responsible for understanding and adhering to Philippine driving laws, regulations, and permit requirements.
• Any non-compliance may result in penalties, additional charges, or rental restrictions, for which the renter shall bear full responsibility.

Car Rental Requirements

• All required documents must be submitted on the rental date. Failure to comply shall result in the cancellation of the reservation.
• The company reserves the right to request additional identification for security verification.
• Minimum age requirements:
  • Motorcycle: 21 years old
  • Cars: 21 years old
  • Vans & SUVs: 30 years old
• A valid physical driver’s license is mandatory.
• Full rental payment shall be made upon vehicle pickup.
• A security deposit is required and may be settled via Credit Card, GCash, or Maya.

Driver’s License Requirements

For Foreign Drivers License:

• A passport with an arrival stamp not exceeding 90 days, inclusive of rental dates, is required.

• If the license is not in English, an officially certified legal translation or an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required.

For Local Drivers License:

• An original proof of billing or company-issued identification card is required.
• An additional valid government-issued identification card must also be presented.

Security Deposit

• The required security deposit varies based on the vehicle category, ranging from P2,000 to P35,000.

Rental Duration

• A rental period is calculated as 24 hours per day.
• Additional hours beyond the 24-hour period shall incur an extra charge equivalent to 1/6 of the daily rate per excess hour.
• If the excess time exceeds 6 hours, the full daily rate shall apply.
• While efforts shall be made to retain the same vehicle for long-term rentals, the company reserves the right to substitute an equivalent vehicle if necessary due to maintenance or availability.

Fuel Policy

• The fuel policy follows a Full-to-Full system. The renter shall return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank, refueling costs shall be charged accordingly.

Additional Costs

• The renter shall be responsible for fuel, parking fees, traffic violations, toll charges, and any costs associated with tire damage, including but not limited to tire patches, repairs, or replacements.

Late Payment Policy

• A penalty interest of 24% per annum shall be imposed on any delayed rental payments.
• Should legal action be required, the renter shall be liable for attorney’s fees amounting to 25% of the outstanding balance (with a minimum fee of P10,000), in addition to legal and court costs.

Dispute Resolution

• Any disputes arising from the rental agreement shall be settled in the jurisdiction of the Saferide Car Rental branch where the vehicle was rented.

Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle

The renter shall not operate the vehicle under the following conditions:

• Travel to off-road, mountain trails, or other inaccessible areas.
• Reckless or high-speed driving that may cause damage, accidents, or breakdowns.
• Use for commercial transportation of passengers, goods, or foul-smelling substances.
• Operation by unauthorized drivers not listed in the rental agreement.
• Towing of other vehicles or heavy objects.
• Operation under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances.
• Engagement in illegal activities, smuggling, or customs violations.
• Allowing individuals under 23 years old to operate the vehicle, regardless of possession of a driver’s license.

Liability and Insurance

Saferide Car Rental offers the following insurance coverage options:

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW):

• Covers damages to the vehicle’s bodywork.
• A deductible fee shall apply, ranging from P10,000 to P35,000.
• CDW excludes coverage for windows, wheels, undercarriage, interior, or personal belongings.

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI):

• Covers third-party property damage (P100,000 limit) and injuries (P100,000 limit).

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI):

• Provides coverage for accidental injury or death of the driver and passengers (up to P50,000 per person).
• Excludes motorcycle renters.

Fault and Negligence

• If the renter is not at fault in an accident, they shall only be responsible for the insurance participation fee unless covered under the policy.
• If the renter is found at fault, they shall bear full financial liability for all damages and related expenses.

Rental Extension Policy

• The renter must notify Saferide Car Rental in advance should they wish to extend the rental period.
• Unauthorized extensions shall be deemed a breach of contract.

24/7 Roadside Assistance

• Roadside assistance is available exclusively within a 30-kilometer radius of the rental location.
• If roadside assistance is required beyond the 30-kilometer radius, additional charges shall apply.
• Roadside assistance is not available for inter-island travel.
• If roadside assistance is required due to the renter’s negligence or misuse of the vehicle, additional fees may be charged.

Mechanical Failures and Repairs

• Saferide Car Rental shall not be held liable for delays due to vehicle breakdowns or accidents.
• The renter shall not attempt to repair or modify the vehicle without prior written consent.
• Any damages arising from negligence shall be the full responsibility of the renter.

Travel Beyond the Province

• Renters planning to take the vehicle outside the province must submit written notification in advance.
• Failure to provide notification shall render the renter liable for all costs associated with repairs or mechanical issues encountered during the trip.
• Only authorized drivers may operate the vehicle under such circumstances.

Release of Liability

• Saferide Car Rental shall not be held liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings left inside the vehicle before, during, or after the rental period.
• The renter agrees to indemnify and hold Saferide Car Rental harmless from any claims, losses, or disputes arising from such incidents.

By proceeding with the rental, the renter acknowledges and agrees to adhere to the aforementioned Terms and Conditions.

Rental Period:

The rental period will commence upon boarding or 30 minutes after the scheduled rental time, whichever comes first. The rental period will end at the time specified in the rental agreement.

Inclusions and Exclusions of Services:

All service inclusions and exclusions are listed on the services page and must be observed by the client.

Vehicle Use:

The client agrees to use the vehicle only for the purposes specified in the rental agreement. Any additional usage must be approved in writing by our company. The client and their passengers must wear seat belts at all times while the vehicle is in motion. If the client requires additional usage, they must contact our customer support team to obtain approval.

Vehicle Passenger and Baggage Limit:

The client acknowledges that the passenger and baggage limit for each rental vehicle is subject to the manufacturer's specified capacity. The client and their passengers must not exceed the vehicle's maximum passenger and baggage limit during the rental period. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that their luggage and personal belongings fit comfortably and safely within the designated storage areas of the vehicle. Our company shall not be held liable for any loss or damage to the client's personal belongings or luggage during the rental period.

Insurance:

All vehicles are insured for passenger liability up to 50,000.00 per passenger and third-party property damage. However, personal belongings and luggage are not covered by our insurance policy.

Termination of Agreement:

Our company reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement at any time if the client breaches any of the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.

Company Indemnification:

The client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless our company, its agents, employees, and affiliates, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with the rental of the vehicle or the use of the services provided by our company.

Disclaimer:

While we strive to provide a safe and reliable service, our company shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience that may occur during the rental period. This includes, but is not limited to, delays, mechanical breakdowns, accidents, or any other unforeseen circumstances. The client understands and accepts that they are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their passengers during the rental period.
